I’ve had a couple of problems with podcast episodes that partially download. The episode will show as being 50 minutes in the description though only, say, 3 minutes downloads. This has been quite frustrating as a recent episode of the DopeFiends
Psychonautica PodCast was a talk by the author Tom Roberts who I happen to have a recent book. So I was really looking forward to hearing him give a talk at the recent
World Psychedelic Forum in Switzerland and all that I got was 3 minutes of Max Freakouts introductions…. Not that I mind hearing Max’s beautiful English accent mixed with psychedelic consciousness infusions….it’s just that I wanted to listen to Tom!!!
Sooooo… cut with the psychotalk and up with the technotalk hey!!!
1. Delete the podcast episode in itunes. It will ask you if you want to move the file to the trash.. I answered yes so there was no chance of it getting confused with multiple files of the same name etc etc..
2. Close the little triangle to the left of the Podcast Title.
3. Press and hold down the “option” key and click once the podcast title. Supposedly this make itunes redownload the episode data fresh..
4. Wait a bit…. go on… wait…. don’t be such a modern techno … wait…. maybe even press the “Downloads” link in the left pane and then click back to podcasts again…
5. If the podcast title is not already expanded press the triangle on its left to expand it again and sakurajima… there should be the podcast episode listed again as not downloaded…
6. Press “GET” and re download the episode…
7. your mileage may vary so comment away and I’ll see if I can narrow this communication down a little…
